- UTA Blackboard is accessed via the MyMav Portal.
- Register for an account. After successful registration you have NetID and password.
- Login with NetID and password and enjoy modern learning system.
Create an account to access UTA Blackboard
- Log into MyMav
- Enter your “Net ID” and “Password” in the top left hand corner and click “Sign In”. You will see the phrase ENABLE ACCESSIBILITY MODE. It should remain unchecked so you can see all the available portal options.
- Once you are signed in click on the STUDENT CENTER button located on the right side of the screen below REGISTER FOR CLASSES. If an emergency contact page comes up please confirm it. If you do not see the STUDENT CENTER button then look on the left side of the screen and click on:

- You are now in “Student Center” so click “Search” located under “Academics”
- Now select the correct term
- Next you will search for the course subject. If you are looking for a Nursing course you will enter “NURS”, if you are looking for a non-nursing course, for example “MATH 1302”, you will enter “MATH”, and so on. You can also click on SELECT SUBJECT to see a list.
- Now you will enter the course number. If you are looking for NURS 3645, you will enter 3645.
- Now click “Search”
- Scroll down until you find your course. The section should say “DYNAMIC” and the room will need to say “OFF WEB.” So if you are looking for “NURS 3645 Section 501 class number 23438”, look for “501-LEC (23438)”.
- Next, click on the “Select Class” button.
- On the next screen click “Next” and continue clicking “Next” until the class has been added to your shopping cart.
- On the next screen, inside the shopping cart, check the box next to each class name and click “Enroll”.
- Finally, on the next screen click “Finish Enrolling”. If you get a hold message, contact your advisor.
- To register for more than one class, click “add another class” and repeat the steps.
- When done, you can click “My Class Schedule” to see all your enrolled classes.

- In your web browser, navigate faculty login page elearn.uta.edu
- Click login button located at the left side.
- This prompts you to log in with your NetID and password.
- Enter your NetID and password in text box.
- Click on Blue Login Button.
- After Successful login, Blackboard Dashboard Page will open with all Features.
If you cannot log in to Blackboard at elearn.uta.edu, you may not yet have activated your NetID and changed your password. Use the Self Service website to active your NetID.
2. Blackboard Log-in Instructions for Faculty
Faculty have to access Blackboard via the MyMav Portal or direct access URL:

- In your web browser, navigate faculty login page elearn.uta.edu
- You have to activate your faculty or staff before login.
- The following items must be completed before a faculty or staff NetID will be active and assignments can take effect in Blackboard
- Department Appointment in DEFINE by department.
- Request for Employee NetID by Department.
- Activation of NetID by Employee.
- Verification of Valid E-Mail Address on File in MyMav by Employee.
- Instructor Assigned to Course Section in MyMav.
- Click login button located at the left side.
- This prompts you to log in with your NetID and password.
- Enter your NetID and password in text box.
- Click on Blue Login Button.
- After Successful login, Blackboard Dashboard Page will open with all faculty specific Features.
If you are able to log in to Blackboard, but do not see your course:
- Make sure that you are officially assigned to the course within MyMav.

The UTA Blackboard Mobile Learn App for mobile devices allows you to access your Blackboard courses in the palm of your hands. UTA Students can mobilize their Blackboard classroom by downloading the Blackboard Mobile Learn application.

- Download the Blackboard Student app from the Apple ios store.
- Once you have installed the app, launch the application.
- On the school search line, enter your college name.
- Once UTA is found, tap on the college name to be forwarded to the Portal Login page.
At your first login using Bb Student, you will be prompted to log in at the UTA Portal. - Login using your UTA NetID and password. The Portal home page will temporarily appear as you are forwarded into the app.

The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA or UT Arlington) is a public research university in Arlington, Texas, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. The university was founded in 1895 and was in the Texas A&M University System for several decades until joining The University of Texas System in 1965.
